• 90 - 120K pro-rata, experience dependent

This consumer facing organisation in the food and beverage industry is home to a suite of brands and products that many kiwis know and love. Due to a recent departure in the corporate communications team, there is a need for an experienced communications manager to fill the gap.

We need a corporate affairs professional with strength and breadth of capability in external communications and media. Due to the constant media attention that all organisations in this industry face, it is essential that this person be well accustomed to working in an issues rich environment as a first point of contact for media.

The Communications Manager will support key business objectives though public affairs and communications strategy, with specific focus on reputation. The stakeholder mix here is incredibly varied - both internal and external, government and general public included.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and manage relationships with agency partners, media, government and opinion leaders
• Overall responsibility for content and all PR material ensuring alignment of key messages
• Lead media relations function which includes handling incoming enquiries on a on-call basis
• Manage integrated external and internal communications, sponsorship and event related initiatives as required

Part-time comms roles at this level are few and far between, and this is an urgent requirement. The people here are smart, engaged and passionate - a fantastic group of people to work with -this one will be filled quick-smart.
