This is an outstanding and rare opportunity, to join a large, growing, and highly respected NZ corporate, as group reporting accountant, with the flexibility to join on either a permanent or contracted basis.
Reporting to the Head of Group Finance, your efforts will ensure that all accounting policy, processes, systems and reporting practices, contribute to country centric and internationally recognised accounting standard requirements.
You will be hands-on in the group consolidation and group reporting process, where you will review information as to accuracy, completeness and technical compliance. You will ensure the group financial result is fit for presentation to senior leadership. You will review current reporting practices, identify opportunities for enhancement and lead a range of improvement projects, to ensure practices across the group, contribute to a robust and technically compliant reporting framework. This could involve anything from a review of revenue recognition practices, the reporting requirements for international subsidiaries, through to a review of customer contract documentation and its implications as to asset accounting.
You will champion the technical and overall quality of all internal and external group reporting.
To be considered for this role, you must be a tertiary and CA qualified professional accountant, with strong relevant experience, including the consolidation of international subsidiary results. This is a role for someone who can work with relative autonomy, can work with a wide number of stakeholders and who enjoys a role of technical challenge and continuous growth and activity.
