We have an opportunity for a commercially astute financial professional to join Downer NZ in a key senior leadership role. The GM Finance is a key member of the Utilities Leadership Team and responsible for all financial management. Clarity and visibility of financial performance is essential including the division's profitability and cash flow, and this role is responsible for being proactive around information visibility to assist decision making, to generate action and influence results. The development, management and continuous improvement, core financials, organisation financial performance, financial governance and systems/processes are owned by this role. The role reports to the EGM Utilities and works in partnership with the operational and commercial leads.
To be considered for this leadership opportunity with us, we will be seeking applications from seasoned financial professionals with extensive experience in large, complex organisations in accountancy, business or commercial management positions, and at least five years in a Senior Finance Leadership role. Ideally you will have had exposure to the infrastructure, Utilities or Services sector, however we are open to similar industry environments.
You'll have demonstrated successful strategy development and execution with an in-depth understanding of financial management, financial reporting modelling with equally as important your knowledge in contract and commercial management. Aligning with our values you'll be an inspiring leader able to motivate and clearly communicate growth and commercial strategies to all key stakeholders in the business and have an ability to influence outcomes and decisions aligned to promote financial performance. Naturally applicants will be an advanced user of various reporting tools and have excellent analytical, planning and communication skills - both written and verbal.
