Are you a methodical and efficient worker who has experience in organising large events, loves to get things done and is a proactive communicator?
The Learner Pathways team is seeking an Operations Officer who will coordinate Whitireia and WelTec graduations, streamline and run our scholarships programmes, facilitate Literacy and Numeracy compliance and in down time, work with financial systems to assist the Director and Head of Learner Pathways.
The Learner Pathways team needs an Operations Officer who will thrive in a fast paced environment working with students and staff across all WelTec and Whitireia Campuses in the Wellington Region. You will be methodical, someone who enjoys taking charge, and be adept at bringing others on-board to assist on event days.
We are looking for someone who has the following:
- Experience in event management
- Proven ability in streamlining, creating efficiencies and improving processes
- A history of managing successful events and initiatives
- Loves to communicate and make sure everyone is kept informed
- Can use a range of software applications, including advanced excel
- Budget management skills
- High level of personal initiative and motivation
- Confidence in using information and communication technologies
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Able to relate to a broad cross section of people
- Highly developed customer service skills
- Ability and willingness to learn and share information
- A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable, but not essential
