Talleys Group Ltd is seeking a suitably experienced Refrigeration Engineer for their Motueka Plant. Reporting to the Trades Manager you will be responsible for the control and monitoring of refrigeration services within the Motueka plant and smaller satellite sites. You will be a self-starter who can think on their feet and understands the need for production continuity. As a plant specializing in many fresh and frozen food products there is a wide range of equipment and processes to maintain.
Your duties will include the daily maintenance of Ammonia plant and smaller Freon systems. Ongoing plant improvements require the installation and commissioning of new systems from time to time. Some travel is required to our satellite plants for regular plant maintenance etc. The hours of work are generally normal business hours but some after hour work will be required at times and the ability to be able to attend callouts afterhours.
To be considered you will require the following:
- Appropriate qualification and experience in Refrigeration Engineering
- Experience in a variety of different types of Ammonia refrigeration.
- Superior problem solving skills
- Exposure to servicing a large manufacturing plant.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a variety of priorities and demands
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- A strong commitment to upholding health and safety standards
- A clean driver’s license as travel is required to smaller sites.
A competitive remuneration pack depending on experience along with a phone and vehicle will be negotiated for a candidate with proven expertise and relevant experience working as a Refrigeration Engineer.
