Working closely with the Asset Facilities Manager this is a very busy role based over eight sites, where no two days are the same, and you will truly get to see the results of your hard work, and your team’s hard work.

This role has variety galore and requires you to be able to manage the 'hands on' duties, manage a variety of stakeholder relationships and ensure that the FM operation is a seamless and effective team.  Key duties may include:

• Management of maintenance services
• Manage, coordinate and prioritise the job queue requests across eight sites in Canterbury
• Liaison with a variety of staff, trades and contractors
• Assist the Asset Facilities Manager with the Life Cycle Plan and Fixed Asset Facilities Conditions Index
• Assist with the scopes of works and contract documentation
• In conjunction with the Asset Facilities Manager, lead a culture of Health and Safety excellence
• Lead and manage the Facilities team
• Oversee compliance checks and requirements
• Assist with any project management where required by the Asset Facilities Manager
• Provide ‘hands on’ assistance with repairs and maintenance where required

• Experience supervising or leading a team of maintenance staff
• Strong history of managing and coordinating busy and varying workflows
• Ability to asses needs and requirements of works
• Outstanding communication and relationship building skills
• Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders
• Understand and lead Health and Safety excellence
• Able to work at pace while making informed and concise decisions
• Great sense of humour and enjoy working as part of a large operation
• Experience working in accommodation, hospitality or education environments would be ideal
