Ten Seven Security as a developing company in the field of electronic security has an opening for the skilled, experienced and enthusiastic Electronic Security Alarm & CCTV Technician, who is ready for the next step in their career and who will fit into our team and take charge of the day to day operation of our Security System Installations and all kind of Technical Support.

ABOUT THE ROLE….

We require a suitably qualified and experienced technician with at least 2 – 3 years’ experience in installing and maintaining Security Alarm System of Different Brands & CCTV(Analogue/Digital & IP). The Security systems are developing into more complex IP or Cloud based systems, so experience in these areas would be of benefit as well. 

Work will involve a range of different brands of Alarm System installation, repair works along with Alarm Monitoring Switch Over all around the New Zealand and you will need to be familiar with, but not limited to, the Integriti, CCTV, and all brands of alarm systems such as paradox, Bosch, DSC, as examples of the many systems we install, manage and maintain for our clients. 

SKILLS REQUIRED….

• Complete Alarm installations on site at residences and commercial locations
• Interaction with customers throughout the installation process to facilitate the end result.
• Installation of everything from simpler security alarm systems to high-level security systems.
• Inspecting existing security systems for flaws and needed repairs.
• Complete installation of motion detector systems and sound alarm systems.
• Programming codes for clients to utilize phone apps for security breach notifications on their cell phones.
• Familiar with troubleshooting of system failures.
• Programming of installed components and activating them on site.
• Providing tutorials to clients of how to utilize their alarm systems.
• Follow the directions from management as needed and formal reporting of all installation issues.
• Good knowledge of all kind of Existing Alarm Panels.
• Accurate fault-finding skills.
• Experience with Logic Control or IP networking.
• A passion for customer service and should be a great communicator.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Good record keeping skills.
• Able to lead a team of people and train them.
• Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Great interpersonal skills
• Good communication skills allow for communication with customers onsite to help the installation process
• Efficiently selects and utilizes the correct tools for particular installations.
• Complies with codes during installations.
• Understands multiple security alarm systems.
• Experience with both residential and business installations.
   

THE SUCCESFULL APPLICANT MUST HAVE….

• At least 2 – 3 years of experience in alarm installation and all kind of Programming of Alarm System
• A Clean Full Driver’s license
• New Zealand residency or valid NZ work visa
• Hold, or be able to obtain a Security Technician Certificate of Approval 
• Able to work for Normal working hours Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm. The role will require you to be on an after-hours call out roster system.
