Our skilled and experienced Equipment Technician has decided it’s time to embark on overseas travels leaving us with a vacancy for an Experienced Equipment Technician / Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join the Invercargill team.
You will be responsible for:
- Performing diagnostics, servicing and repairs
- Delivering quality, efficiency and accuracy and working to manufacture’s specifications
- Continuing to develop, build and share your technical knowledge
- Delivering excellent customer service
- Adhering to health and safety best practice
As an experienced Equipment Technician you will have:
- Five years’ experience as an Equipment Technician, with field service experience
- Heavy Diesel Qualification desirable
- Strong abilities to diagnose faults and undertake maintenance, repairs and break down work
- Able to work well independently but knows when to call in for help and advice
- Excellent communication, time management and prioritisation skills
- A can-do attitude to go above and beyond for our customers
Experience with Hitachi, John Deere and Bell products would be preferable. The Technician may be required to work at mine sites.

Applicants who are not NZ or Australian residents or citizens must have excellent English communication skills, a Heavy Diesel Qualification equivalent to the New Zealand National Certificate in Motor Industry (Automotive Heavy Engineering) (NZQF Level 4) AND a minimum of three years' relevant post-qualification work experience to meet visa requirements.
