This is a full-time, permanent role and is primarily located at Airport Oaks in Auckland South.
Reporting to the Team Leader, the primary focus of the role is to operate high speed presses producing product to the required quality, quantity and time standards.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Operating and monitoring machine set-ups.
- Troubleshooting and resolution of machine faults.
- Achieving daily and weekly production plan targets.
- Maximising machine output and reduction of waste.
- Ensure all operations are carried out in accordance with established Quality and Health & Safety systems.
This role will appeal to a motivated, self-starter who is results oriented, and committed to providing a safe working environment. The successful applicant will possess the following attributes:
- Excellent spoken and written English is essential.
- Ideally a minimum of 3 (preferably 5+) years hands-on printing experience in a manufacturing environment, with high speed machines.
- Trade Certification in Flexographic (Reel Fed) Printing. Alternatively, five (5) years of printing experience is preferred.
- Proven problem solving ability and a good level of mechanical competence.
- Sound experience with interpreting then delivering on production plans.
- Knowledge of Quality, Safety and Environmental standards as well as GMP.
- Communicates well to people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and all levels of the organisation.
- Able to work rotating shift patterns.
