At Teletrac Navman, we currently have an opportunity for an ambitious and highly skilled Accountant to join our Australia & New Zealand Finance team.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will provide financial and management accounting support for our New Zealand and Australian subsidiaries. In particular, you will take responsibility for:

• Financial reporting for the Australasia region, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of all month end reconciliations;
• Assisting with the preparation of the ANZ budgets & forecasts and commentary;
• In conjunction with our outsourced payroll provider, review the Australasia payrolls;
• Responsible for Australian Tax (ATO) returns and compliance;
• Develop and maintain a good understanding of fundamental AR, AP & Sales Admin processes to be able to assist when required and troubleshoot problems;
• Ad hoc reporting and project management.

Along with a strong accounting foundation and relevant qualification, you will have:

• Previous Accountant experience for a medium-sized high growth New Zealand company
• Chartered Accountant or equivalent
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and previous experience with SAP would be an advantage
• High levels of initiative and a continuous improvement mindset
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
