This is an exciting role (Contracted for the summer season) approximately 9 months.

We are looking for the following Operations Assistant to complete the following requirements:

This is a seasonal position where flexibility of availability is key. A successful candidate would be able to work across a 7-day week shift pattern including mornings, afternoons and evenings and some nights.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Assisting the Operations Manager in the day to day requirements of the lodge.

- Cleaning and maintenance of the exterior of all buildings and workshops.

- Ensuring all site vehicles are cleaned and maintained as required.

- Cleaning, maintenance, launch and recovery of all water sports equipment and vessels. This currently includes a boat, kayaks, paddle boards, wetsuits and snorkelling equipment, bicycles, electric vehicles and more.

- Assisting guests with luggage and hotel porter related duties.

- Valet cleaning and parking of guest vehicles.

- Cleaning and maintenance of the swimming pool.

- Cleaning beaches and removing rubbish and debris.

- Cleaning toilets, showers and hand basins as required.

- Responsible for all outdoor furniture and their cushions, tables and umbrellas.

- Chopping kindling and firewood and ensuring all fireplaces are well stocked.

- Driving a range of vehicles with and without guests.

- Emptying rubbish bins and disposing of waste.

- Comply with the Health and Safety policies and procedures.

- Use protective safety equipment as required.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Flexibility with working hours across evenings, weekends and public holidays.

- Working knowledge of a variety of trades.

- Enthusiastically able to work as part of a team and unsupervised during the nights and quieter periods.

- High attention to detail and the ability to think pro-actively

- Have experience in a front-line role, preferably in a hotel environment.

- A full and current NZ drivers licence and own transport.

- A background in boating and/or water sports.

- The successful candidate will also have the right to work in New Zealand for at least 12 months.

A full uniform will be provided along with any relevant training.
