The company
Join a service company providing pumping solutions, learn the trade or choose better support & growth! Based in the South Auckland location of this growing, locally owned company you will enjoy being part of a vibrant, busy team reporting through to the very ‘hands-on’ Director. Experience isn’t essential as if you have the work ethic and right technical ‘tinkering’ attitude, the Director is also very happy to put you through an apprenticeship, a 2 week electrical course and train you up as a ‘Trades Assistant’-

OR you may be a Trade Assistant or a Service Technician seeking a career step and personal growth and development.

OR you may be an experienced ‘Industrial Service Engineer’ or ‘Pump Technician’ seeking more of a focus on commercial/industrial work, a great rate of pay, a family friendly company and personally have a thirst for further technical knowledge.

Duties

• Broadly you will be learning and working in pump operations, as far as installation and service is concerned, of mechanical and electronic control operations, tracing plumbing etc.
• Providing a quick response to clients that can range from high rise commercial buildings (city based predominantly) to Shopping Centres and industrial companies
• Some on-site work (mustn’t be shy of sewerage/ground water) eg repair, replacement and diagnosing of faults, and the company also has a Workshop to provide an in-house service
• Sourcing of pumps, maintenance and repair
• Service contract inspections

Training, may suit career change, eg you might have some experience in Maintenance on buildings, or you may have some exposure to Plumbing or the Electrical sector and wish to focus in a specialist/in demand area less weighted to the domestic market. Or you may have some general pump knowledge from irrigation systems, Fire Pump testing, HVAC!  and are keen to learn and grow your career with a qualification and full support/training on the job.

Minimum 40-45 hours/week, some weeks more (stand down day available), and some rostered overtime for callouts (at time and a ½). Negotiable rate dependent on experience, full use of company vehicle (will be a near new Ute or Van – Note: If an Apprentice, full use of vehicle will be at a later date), Uniform, Tablet & phone also provided.
