The Nichol’s and Willowridge Group of companies are privately owned Otago & Southland based enterprises encompassing over ten key business units involved in a variety of operations including:
- Property development & construction
- Residential and commercial subdivision construction
- Property leasing
- Garden retail
- Nursery production
- Civil contracting and transport.
The Group CFO will report directly to the Managing Director and presents an outstanding opportunity for a talented Chartered Accountant and Financial Manager to join a very progressive and rapidly expanding multi-business organisation which operates from a small and efficient administration head office in Dunedin.
The Group CFO will be responsible for:
- Preparation of consolidated monthly financial statements and accounts, analysing the Group’s financial performance, forecasting and planning, analysis and recommendations to manage costs, internal audits, maintenance of the general ledger and ensuring the taxation liabilities of the company are met.
- Carry out project feasibility studies, business improvement projects and detailed cash flow analysis.
- Group cash flow management, budgeting and forecasting.
- Annual insurance renewal process.
- Support and assist individual company managers with all aspects of financial management and to ensure the Group’s strategies are being implemented.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and banking covenants.
We are seeking:
A Chartered Accountant with a broad range of financial accounting and wider business skills across the sectors we operate in, with;
- accounting knowledge backed up with significant commercial practical experience
- the ability to work both autonomously and as part of the wider administration and management teams, and
- the ability to multi-task whilst keeping a detailed focus.
