Overview:
We are looking for NZ registered electricians to be part of this expansion. Initially, the work will be in the greater Auckland area. Travel nationwide may be required from time to time.
We have an immediate need for an energetic, enthusiastic, NZ registered Electrician (preferably 2-3 years qualified) to install, test and commission domestic and industrial sized solar PV systems.
Responsibilities:
- To work independently and, at times, head up a team of 2 to 3 other technicians, installing a range of PV systems on roofs.
- Ensure installations are completed to a professional standard, compliant with all NZ wiring rules and international standards as required.
- Coordinate, motivate and assist in managing the 'on time' delivery of installations.
- Liaising with customers, co workers and inspectors.
- Adherence and implementation of company Health and Safety policies and directives.
Any prior experience installing Solar PV systems will be beneficial but not essential. Training will be provided to the right candidate.
Since a proportion of the work will include working outside and at height, applicants should have a predisposition, confidence and ability to operate in such conditions. However all necessary height safety equipment and training will be provided.
Other requirements include a full, current, clean NZ drivers licence and a clean criminal record. The applicant must have good communications skills and be able to positively interact with both customers and other staff members.
