The Opportunity
An experienced Assistant Accountant or Accounts Technician seeking a step up to a more operationally focused Finance role.
An operationally dynamic business with numerous Joint Ventures, that will further develop your commercial acumen by partnering whilst developing a broad exposure to contracting and Civil Engineering, and project management
The Company
Part of a wider Multinational group, they are a well-established, multi-disciplinary construction & infrastructure business with operations throughout New Zealand. They have enjoyed continuous growth off the back of delivering successful client outcomes.
The Role
- Provide timely cost reports to Management
- Costings for assigned projects, including time sheets and accounts payable.
- Prepare cost claims for projects and raise associated invoices.
- Complete necessary journals, accrual journals and balance sheet reconciliations for project work
- Co-ordinate and control work timelines for projects.
- Joint venture accounting, cost/ revenue allocation, and complex billing
Your Profile
- Experienced Assistant Accountant or Accounts Technician seeking a step up to a more operationally focused Finance role
- The ability to build effective working relationships with operational staff and provide tailored financial advice
- Strong user of accounting systems (preferably ERP experience) and a strong Excel user
