Armourguard is New Zealand’s leading security company and is currently seeking an experienced senior SITE SUPERVISOR to lead a team of frontline staff on a high profile Wellington site. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our security staff including rostering, EH&S and training. We are looking for a well-presented security professional with superb communication skills, the ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks and direct resources.

To be successful in this role you must:

• Be an experienced team leader
• Manage and control activity of on-duty security staff, including short notice rostering
• Respond to service requests promptly delivering excellent customers service and immediately resolving issues that arise
• Maintain full awareness of and compliance with site operating procedures
• Deliver the highest level of professional security standards and leading by example
• Commit to training and development as determined necessary from time to time providing on-the-job training to staff as directed
• Identify opportunities to improve business practice and contribute to the development of the business through customer service, enhanced procedures, operating efficiencies, and staff development & retention
• Customer focus and appreciation of excellence communication and service delivery
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks and direct resources
• Ability to learn new skills and take directions in a positive and professional manner
• Awareness of Health and Safety legislation and compliance requirements

To be considered for this role you must be able to obtain a Certificate of Approval for the security industry. Experience in the security industry is preferred and qualifications in First Aid and NZQA Level 2 and Level 3 security will be highly regarded. The role is a day shift position – Monday to Friday to suit the client.  Ideally candidates will be available for an immediate start.
