MTD Trucks supplies new and used trucks and new buses from the Volvo Group (Mack, Volvo) direct to customers in the commercial transport industry. Our clients range from single truck owners to fleet owners and large primary produce companies.
Currently we have an opening for a skilled Diesel Technician who is looking to further their career outside of the workshop. We are seeking a technically minded individual to be our Technical Support Advisor. You will be based in our Palmerston North Head Office.
In this busy and varied role you will be our technical 'expert' providing reliable and accurate support and training for all products supplied by Motor Truck Distributors (NZ) Ltd. A key focus of your role will be to ensure that our premium truck brands remain highly regarded in terms of reliability and efficiency. In achieving this aim, you will manage product technical support in the field (travel required), identify and implement solutions for product enhancements and problem solve any technical issues.
This role will ideally suit a qualified Diesel Technician with a minimum of ten years truck experience. We're looking for someone with a high level of technical knowledge, experience in service management and proven relationship-building skills. If alongside this you have demonstrated negotiation and problem solving skills and can communicate on a technical level then we want to hear from you.
