We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic hands on Facilities Team Leader to oversee all maintenance, health and safety and security throughout Howick Historical Village.
The role is permanent full time of 40 hours of a 5-day period.
The role-holder will be responsible for the day to day management of the Facilities team including Cleaning staff, Handyman/Maintenance, Gardener and Contractors, managing Health and Safety and security ensuring that Howick Historical Village is a healthy and safe environment.
It will also involve the preparation of budget reports, finances, expenditures and purchases.
This is a new key role within the museum and provides an opportunity for the right person to make a major contribution toward the museum achieving its vision.
If you have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to foster positive relationships with staff and external agencies and skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office systems including Outlook, Word and Excel then we would like to hear from you.
Applicant should have experience in similar roles and an understanding of working in a Not for profit /Charitable organisation.
An interest in NZ’s social history, Auckland’s Early Settler History including the period of Fencible military history.
