Detail information about job Exhibition & Display Special Project Coordinator. Terms and conditions vacancy

Peek Exhibition is one of New Zealand's leading exhibition and display company, providing signage and display services to New Zealand and Australian businesses and organisations since 1927.  Our core business is hiring and installing exhibition systems and furniture for events and conferences and designing and building custom made trade show stands for our clients. Some of the more notable installations we are involved with would be the A+P Show, New Zealand Cup Day, V8 Supercars, The New Zealand Golf Open, Food and Wine Festivals, Agricultural Field Days and numerous industry conferences around the South Island and up into the North Island too.

We are looking for a highly organised and focused individual to fill one of our Exhibition and Display Special Coordinator positions based out of the Christchurch depot. This role primarily involves the design, client liaison, delivery and installation of our equipment and services to match their high expectations.

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, self organised and can think on their feet whilst juggling three, no four, no sorry five, heck well maybe seventeen things at once. Please don't apply for this role if you are not someone who is enthusiastic, can handle constant and numerous customer demands, enjoys working in a team and is committed to providing exemplary customer service. You will preferably have an interest and/or experience in the events industry and enjoy being of help to others. Someone who is quick thinking and considers themselves to have a lot of common sense would do well in this role. The successful applicant will have fantastic  practical and time management skills, and attention to detail is essential.  Although the standard hours for this role are primarily 8:00 to 4:30 Monday to Friday, during the delivery of an event, you will be expected to be available to work outside of these hours (sometimes upwards of 70-80 hours per week) to ensure the successful final installation and handover to the client. Weekend and evening work are a large part of the role as and when the events require it and a lot of out of town travel is also to be expected as part of the overall project delivery to our clients. We generally cover the whole South Island from Christchurch and it wouldn't be unusual from time to time to be in Dunedin one day, Queenstown the next and Christchurch the next.  All the usual out of town expenses are covered and all time worked is paid for ie: all weekend hours and overtime hours are covered.

This role will suite somebody who is physically fit and enjoys medium to heavy lifting in short bursts! It is essential that you have a full class 1 drivers licence and ideally both a class 2 or 4 and a forklift licence although consideration will be given to a suitable candidate to undertake the necessary training to achieve these at our cost. You will also need to have experience with computer based design packages such as ArchiCAD, Corel Draw and Sketchup and be able to demonstrate knowledge of post production procedures in Microsoft office.  We are intending to introduce Work Flow Max eventually so any experience on this package would be advantageous.

If this sounds like you and you would like to become part of a fun, small but very experienced team based in Christchurch,  please forward your full CV and application letter detailing your relevant experiences before the 20th July to:
