Environmental Construction Worker – Response Team, Christchurch

Delta is the smart thinking infrastructure specialist in energy and environmental services.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Environmental Construction Worker to join our Response Team. The purpose of this role is to perform planned and unplanned repairs and maintenance work in parks, reserves, playgrounds and other green spaces; as well as other work as directed on manual labouring and gardening duties.

This is a diverse role within the Christchurch area, 8 hours a day Monday-Friday. It is expected that the successful candidate will be on call every second weekend to respond to situations that may arise.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A current and clean full drivers licence (class 1)

• A good range of practical skills in areas such as gardening, grounds and facilities maintenance

• Competence with mowing equipment, chainsaws and other power tools

• Good mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills

• The ability to work both in a team and independently

• A recognised trade certification for Building / Carpentry or equivalent experience in this area will be advantageous.
