About the business and the role
Baylogics is a small contracting company, currently four electricians and an apprentice. We're a tight group, appreciate good humour and a great work ethic. When the pressures off, we know how to relax, however when pressures on, we work hard and support each other. This position is to join and share the growing work load amoungst the team and to support or take leadership when required. Our key clients are within the timber and food processing industry and water/waste water infrastructure.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Repairs and maintenance at our key clients sites can see us changing a light bulb in their offices through to interrogation of a machine PLC using our supplied laptops to fault find a process that isn't functioning as it should. With many future expansion and improvement projects approved at our clients timber and food processing sites, and hundreds of water/waste water sites spread northland wide, the position provides varied work sure to keep us all busy and interested.
Skills and experience
The prospective employee must have a proven history in the electro technology industry. Machine fault finding skills, ability to be tasked a job and to take ownership until completion and an understanding of automation a must. We don't do domestic house wiring as a rule....unless friends or family!. PLC programming preferred, system integration is where we are heading although we have great relationships with some key integrators involved in our clients industries. We are a 24/7 on call operation with a renumerated rostered standby weekend call out in place and over time rates are paid when a usual weeks hours stretches to over 48 hrs.
