Due to our continued growth, we now have an opportunity for a Retail Workshop Controller to be based at our Prestige Dunedin dealership.
As the Retail Workshop Controller, your key responsibility is to manage and control all workshop operations relating to retail work. This would include and not limited to:
- Ensuring that the repair and maintenance requirements of customer vehicles are correct.
- Managing, supervising and directing the workshop operations for all retail work while being able to hop back onto the tools when needed.
- Assisting in diagnosing mechanical difficulties when necessary and recommending the required repairs with a focus on CSI, reliability and preventative maintenance and wear.
- Ensuring that there are established adequate safeguards and practices for departmental personal and to protect company property and equipment.
- Liaising with the appropriate personal regarding the work that is required for all pre-booked and back-ordered jobs.
Experience in a busy workshop is essential, and while European automotive experience is preferred for these roles, we are most interested in your proven servicing and supervising ability. Strong diagnostic and repair skills are preferred, and a WOF certification would be advantageous. You will need to have strong communication skills as you will be dealing with people on a daily basis.
