- Permanent role, full-time 40 hours
Selwyn Heights is a highly sought after, modern retirement village with extensive grounds and a wide range of facilities. One of the eight villages of The Selwyn Foundation, there are 24 villas, 221 apartments and a care home for 50 residents. In total we have 370 residents living here and we're expecting the village to grow over the next few years. We pride ourselves on the appearance of the gardens, buildings and the excellent service provided to our residents.
Working as a Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring an effective preventative maintenance programme is maintained and an efficient reactive maintenance service is provided. This position will ensure a quality service is available to residents and will act as the contact point for contractors visiting the site.
You will have a trade or professional qualification or equivalent experience. Your training, knowledge and experience will allow you to work closely and knowledgeably with contractors and suppliers who are engaged by the Foundation.
You will be methodical, meticulous in your attention to detail, observant and have the knowledge necessary to ensure that everything is done to a very high standard while also working efficiently. Needless to say, you'll be actively engaged in our health and safety culture and be prepared to lead from the front when it comes to best practice and compliance.
You will embrace our customer service ethos, have an affinity with older people and have personal qualities which will allow you to work affably and productively amongst the residents and with your colleagues.
