Metro Direct is a part of Metro Performance Glass who are a leading supplier of architectural glass to the commercial and residential markets, offering an extensive range of glass products and glazing services nationwide. We are looking for a Glazing Supervisor to join our busy Glazing division at our Napier branch. The primary focus of this position is to measure, organise and coordinate the work of glaziers and subcontractors and effectively ensure the smooth running of projects.
This position would suit an energetic individual who is keen to develop a career in site/project management work. Prior experience within the building/construction industry is essential, and experience as a supervisor or team leader would be advantageous, although not essential. Training and development will be provided in return for your enthusiasm to learn and your drive to excel.
The key responsibilities for this role include:
- Measure and organise glazing work by coordinating glaziers and subcontractors
- Coordinating and procurement of glass, materials and documentation
- Site managing/customer liaising
- Financially controlling projects as they proceed
