This role is well suited to a person with experience in printing, print assisting and has an interest and knowledge of printing inks. You will be dealing with water based ink (i.e. liquid ink) and offer a technical bent.
Proactive, reliable and attention to detail focused, you also offer multitasking, time management skills. N.B. you need to understand colour and pass a “colour blind test”.
Based within a large print company the role is to blend inks (a new dispenser has been installed) and ensure these are given to the printers in order for work to meet deadlines.
You have the ability to problems solve, record information and communicate with management and the people on the shop floor.
In addition to a N.Z. Drivers License you have a Forklift License (Reach is an advantage) and we need a level of physical fitness as you are dealing with 20kg paints and pushing trolleys with approximately 35 – 40 kg weights.
The hours are 6 am to 2 pm with some weekend work. The rate is experience linked from $20 per hour.
