Service Technician | Melbourne Depot

PremiAir is a fast growing Hire/Service company that specialises in the hire, service and sales of air compressors, generators, lighting towers, message boards and traffic management equipment. We currently have an opportunity for a full time Service/Work Shop Technician to join our busy and hardworking Melbourne Branch located in Deer Park. The main responsibilities of the role include:

• The repair, service and maintenance of our hire fleet of equipment
• Fault finding on all diesel engines, including John Deer and Caterpillar
• Fault finding on diesel Trucks
• Administrative tasks relevant to the position

We are seeking a person with the following attributes:

• Trade qualifications in a mechanical trade (motor mechanic or Fitter/Machinist or Heavy Diesel mechanic)
• Previous experience working on plant/equipment in a manufacturing, engineering, industrial or construction environment
• Strong fault finding and problem solving skills
• Can work unsupervised and listen and follow instructions
• Excellent time management skills
• Is self-motivated and takes pride in their work
• Has a strong team mind-set
• Is focused on providing the best service to our customers
• Has good English reading and writing skills
• Can work overtime, including weekends when required and work an on-call roster
• Is reliable, punctual with excellent work ethics
• Has a stable work history and reliable work references
• Has a valid and current manual drivers licence
• A forklift licence, white card &/or disconnect/re-connect electrical licence is preferred but is not essential to be considered for this role
• Previous work experience in the compressed air industry would be highly regarded
