Our current vacancy is for a Technical Advisor who is a qualified Automotive technician, ideally with strong technical experience with late model Ford vehicles. A high level of diagnostic skills on the electronic systems of current model Ford passenger and light commercial vehicles will be highly regarded.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical advice to the Ford Dealer Network.
- Support Ford's "fix it right the first time" philosophy by providing Ford Dealers with accurate and timely technical support.
- Liaise with engineering staff to support timely resolution of Dealer technical concerns
- Answer Ford Dealer technical enquiries within agreed response times.
Skills and Experience Required:
You must have previous experience within the automotive industry and / or dealership operations and/or field service operations and preferably within a customer service environment and therefore have an understanding of Ford Dealer Service Operations. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong interpersonal skills. You must have strong technical knowledge and be highly competent in product concern diagnosis and have a knowledge of Ford Information systems and Ford Diagnostic processes. You must be able to read and interpret technical information to assist in resolving vehicle concerns. Additionally you will have OEM technical experience (ideally with late Ford models, but flexible to other models).
You must be able to work with minimum supervision whilst solving problems via the phone which is an essential requirement. You will be computer literate with Microsoft Office products.
Qualifications and Prerequisites:
- Automotive Technician qualifications.
- Technical and diagnostic experience with Ford late model vehicles.
- Experience within the automotive industry and/or dealership operations.
- Late model, high level Ford diagnostic experience with Ford Master Technician Certificate preferred.
