Conveyor System Technician / Belt Splicer - Townsville

We have 2 positions available for experienced Conveyor System Technicians / Belt Splicers. Based in Townsville, you will be part of the Service team working on shutdowns, installs, and general belt repairs and maintenance across Far North Queensland including Mt Isa and Cairns regions.

Responsibilities

• Belt splicing, repairs, maintenance and installations of fabric conveyor belts
• Belt audits
• Job planning and scoping
• Safety and quality compliance

Required Industry Experience

• Belt Splicer 3 -5 years’ experience.

Must Haves:

• A strong commitment to safety and quality
• Proven experience and knowledge of fabric rubber ply splicing and installations
• Conveyor maintenance experience
• Valid Driver’s Licence
• Willingness to work outside of hours as required
• The right to live and work in Australia

Nice to Haves:

• Certificate II or III in Polymer Processing
• Confined Space & Working at Heights
• Current Dogman & Rigger tickets
