Bitu-mill is a major provider of road maintenance and construction across Australia. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel / Plant Mechanic to join our team based in Campbellfield, work directly for our Asphalt Paving division.
You will join a diverse, highly capable and well-respected organisation that is committed to being the leaders in the industry, through building strong relationships with our clients and delivering excellence in service.
As the Diesel / Plant Mechanic you will provide:
Scheduled and undertake routine maintenance, servicing, fault finding, diagnosis and general repairs as well as attending to breakdowns on our fleet of pavers and rollers within the division.
Reporting to the Asphalt Divisional Manager, you will be required to:
- Accurately complete maintenance and service reports.
- Comply with workplace health, safety, quality and environmental processes.
- Liaise with manufacturers in regards to Warranty Claims and ongoing issues.
- Manage daily pre-start documentation reporting and close out.
You will need:
- Trade qualified with strong plant servicing and maintenance experience
- Have strong knowledge of asphalt pavers, road construction equipment and hydraulics
- Strong willingness to learn and develop on skills while growing with the company
- Flexibility in shifts - day, nights & weekends when required
- Available to travel for work requirements - intrastate and interstate
- Be customer focused with a can-do attitude
- Have the ability to work well as part of a team
- Have basic computer skills
You must be:
- Physically fit and pass pre-employment medical
- Hold a current MR Drivers licence as a minimum, HR licence would be highly regarded.
