About the role:

Join a supportive team at our state-of-the-art Master Rebuild Centre (MRC) near the Perth Airport. As a Diesel Mechanic Technician for the MRC, you will oversee tearing down, remanufacturing, rebuilding, product testing and troubleshooting of our HHP diesel equipment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support all manufacturing activities undertaken within the MRC
  • Repair and remanufacture engine sub-components
  • Complete Time sheets, job labour analysis paperwork
  • In addition to above, complete ViewEASE entries, quality checks paperwork, teardown sheets, defect/RFT reports, and OH&S forms.
  • Report any unsafe equipment to immediate supervisor or safety representative
  • Ensure all tooling & consumables are maintained in the appropriate manner.
  • Ensure self & others use PPE equipment in accordance with Cummins Policy guidelines

 

If you have the following, we'd love to hear from you:

  • Relevant Trade Qualification: Heavy Vehicle, Automotive (Engine Reconditioning), or Light Vehicle – Mechanical
  • Previous exposure to diesel engines
  • Engine rebuild & reconditioning experience
  • Experience in doing repetitive work and following the same process and procedures
  • Manufacturing or remanufacturing experience
  • Willingness to work on day or afternoon rostered shifts

The successful applicants will work on a full time rotating roster and have the opportunity to complete overtime hours and occasional weekend work.
