Bard Engineering is a well-established Australian company that has serviced the Australian and international mining and support industry for over 40 years.
We are seeking 4 experienced, professional and enthusiastic fitters to help expand and grow our Archerfield Workshop.
To be considered for these positions you will require:
- Trade qualifications –Fitter & Turner, Hydraulics Fitter, Drill Fitter or Diesel Fitter
- Supported by Australian Certificate of Proficiency
- Minimum of 5 years proven field service experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the mining or mining support industry, with proven exposure to HME
- Extensive experience in installation, troubleshooting and repairs of hydraulic systems and components
- Experience in installation, troubleshooting and repairs of lubrication systems
- Highly developed troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Able to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Sound detailed reporting and documentation abilities
- Able and willing to work away
- This may vary from overnight stays to several weeks
- Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing
- Attention to detail and takes pride in workmanship
- Understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act.
- English literacy
- Manual drivers licence
Though not essential, the following are considered desirable qualities for candidates to possess:
- Forklift licence
- EWP Certificate
- Confined Space Certificate
- Working at Heights Certificate
- Working knowledge and understanding of 12 & 24VDC electrical circuits
- Welding – 2nd Class
- Working experience or exposure to ERP programs such as Oracle, Epicor or SAP
