National Glass (a privately owned company) is one of Queensland's leading distributors and processors of glass.  The safety of the workplace and employees is a priority.

Due to growth, we are seeking to employ an enthusiastic, experienced, trade qualified mechanical fitter for our Brisbane maintenance team.  This position may include shift work.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role maintaining machinery up time by:

• Maintain machinery automation systems as per manufacturers recommendations
• Maintaining PLC, SCADA, HMI systems
• Undertaking preventative and routine maintenance procedures to maintain and improve the efficiency of our machinery
• Investigating machinery failures and making recommendations to reduce failures/risks
•  Participate and assist in developing routines and procedures for the CMMS
• Adhering  to all established WHS rules, policies and procedures
• Be able to work unsupervised and also part of a team
• Be productive to complete tasks within set time frames
• Available to work overtime/weekends when required

      The successful applicant must have:

• A minimum 5 years experience in a related industry
• Electrical trade qualifications
• Electrical Work Licence
• Machinery automation, PLC, SCADA HMI, VSD knowledge essential
• Experience with machinery automation systems  - Beckhoff, Siemens S7, Omron, Schnieder.
• Excellent workmanship and attention to detail to meet the standards of our company
• Industrial machinery experience and problem solving skills are essential
• You must have an analytical and methodical approach to problem solving.
• A high priority on health and safety.
