Staker Hydraulic Specialists is a leading hydraulic engineering company based in Cavan, South Australia. The company has a proud history of providing hydraulic and lubrication solutions, sales and service to South Australian industry since 1976.
We are seeking applications from qualified and experienced engineering/mechanical tradespeople to fill the position of Hydraulic Service Technician / Fitter.
As a Hydraulic Service Technician / Fitter, you will be involved in varied and interesting work.
Your work site will range from our well-equipped workshop at Cavan to our client's work sites.
Typical work performed includes;
- Hydraulic system servicing, troubleshooting and repairs;
- Pump, motor & cylinder overhaul and bench testing;
- Power unit construction, upgrades, testing and commissioning;
- Hydraulic tube forming, pipe fitting and hose assembly;
- General fabrication and machining work;
- Other general maintenance and workshop duties.
If you're adequately qualified, you would also be involved with trouble shooting and repairing closed loop transmission systems and electro-hydraulic systems.
All SHS Service technicians are provided with a company maintained service vehicle and ongoing technical support from our service department supervisor, operations manager and systems engineers.
Remuneration offered will be commensurate with the knowledge and skill level demonstrated by the technician.
Applicants must hold a certificate in a relevant engineering/mechanical trade, ideally fitting, fitting & machining or heavy vehicle maintenance, and possess the following experience, skills and attributes;
- Previous hands-on hydraulic repair/service experience;
- Significant maintenance fitting experience;
- General metal fabrication experience;
- Present themselves and interact with others in a professional manner;
- Excellent time management and communication skills;
- Self motivated and keen to satisfy customer needs;
- Self managed and able to complete allocated work in a safe and efficient manner;
- Takes pride in delivering high quality workmanship and their own contribution to maintaining an organised, tidy and productive workplace;
- Able to work effectively on their own or as part of a team;
- Committed to ongoing learning and development.
