Fisher Lane Mobility (FLM) is a rehabilitation and mobility equipment company that was established in 1981. We take pride in our ability to offer the best products and a wide range of services to the healthcare industry and beyond.
We are seeking a fulltime Service Technician to work in the specialised field of assistive technology repair and maintenance. Assistive technology encompasses a range of powered and manual mobility aids including; scooters, wheelchairs, hospital beds, patient lifting equipment and alternating air mattresses. The successful candidate will bring knowledge from a related field, such as; electronic or electromechanical repairs, mechanical, auto-electrical or industrial electrical experience and FLM will provide transitional training. Strong diagnostic and fault finding ability will be fundamental to the success of this role.
The ability to manage client relationships, be caring and responsive while finding the best technical solution to each job presented is a priority at FLM. We are offering an attractive salary package with remuneration negotiable for the right candidate.
Duties for this position will include:
- In-house repairs & modification of rehabilitation equipment
- Liaising directly with customers
- On-road repairs and maintenance of rehabilitation equipment
- Test & Tag of electrical equipment on & offsite
- Preventative maintenance & repair of rental fleet
- Delivery and installation of rehabilitation equipment
Requirements of this role:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer focus and service quality
- Attention to detail and capacity to meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Fluent computer skills and understanding of common business software applications
- A good understanding of low voltage electrics, motors and battery systems
- Competence with power tools and electrical test equipment
- The capability to work with minimal supervision
To be considered for the position you MUST have
- Current police check or ability to obtain one
- Current Victorian manual drivers licence
- Eligibility to work in Australia
