We now seek an experienced Event Security Manager to join our Corporate Security team at one of our prestigious Melbourne clients at their major event and exhibition site.

We are seeking an experienced Management Representative to oversee the delivery of our security and crowd management services and lead the current security team.

 Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Delivery of front line operational security services in a timely and professional manner;
  • Leading a security team, providing support and ongoing training for the team;
  • Maintaining a good knowledge and understanding of the operations of all equipment used on site;
  • Effectively coordinating and controlling the response to all emergencies for the site;
  • Conducting investigations into security incidents and provide written reports;
  • Compiling monthly reports;
  • Regularly responding to and resolving complaints and enquiries;
  • Making recommendations for the development of appropriate security policies and procedures;
  • Reporting any security/safety related breaches;
  • Arranging ad hoc guarding for general contractor escorts and events;
  • Event management and planning;
  • High level time management skills and the ability to prioritize; 
  • Managing key external security partners and suppliers.
  • Attention to detail is critical.

Suitable applicants must hold, as a minimum, the following:

  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar security position;
  • Current Victorian Security licence;
  • Current First Aid Certificate;
  • Current Working With Children Check (WWCC);
  • Excellent Customer Service skills;
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal);
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution abilities;
  • Be flexible and adaptive;
  • Solid work history with good references.
