About us

Lisa Melina brow & beauty boutique is a unique French inspired beauty salon / boutique, with a warm welcoming atmosphere. It is a treasure trove of all things beauty as well as gifts and quirky items.

Established for over 7 years, we are looking for an extraordinary , experienced and passionate beauty therapist to join our intimate team to support and encourage our continual growth. We are a small friendly salon with lovely environment for both staff and clientele. We have obtained a reputation for high standards in products, knowledge, customer service and quality of treatments and require someone who is willing and capable to work hard to uphold these standards to ensure customer satisfaction every time.

About Position

Seeking a part time Beauty Therapist available to work 3-4 shifts per week (contracted minimum hours will be agreed to) with a future potential to lead to full time if this is desired*

Located on Union Rd Ascot Vale, surrounded by coffee shops and close to the city with great public transport facilities.

The successful applicant MUST HAVE the following:

Requirements:

1) Beauty Therapist qualification of at least certificate 4 and 1 year full time minimum salon / beauty experience or equivalent (eg 2 years Part Time)

2) Flexible working hours Thursday night and Saturdays a must - The rest is negotiable.

3) High standard of skills in a broad range of treatment including but not limited to waxing, facials, manicures, pedicures, massage and make-up.

4) Brazilian waxing and spray tanning skills also required

5) Passionate and motivated with good work ethic

6) Pride in their work and deliver excellence every time

7) Warm, friendly and professional disposition

8) Proven retail sales and client retention record-able to work to sales targets

9) ability to multi-task (such as reception duties) and work unsupervised.

10) excellent personal presentation and grooming

11) Willingness to attend product training in own time and stay up to date essential

12 ) Confidence in making product recommendations, sales and re-booking to sustain a loyal clientele absolutely neceassry with every client, every time.

13) Eyelash extension experience will be favorably considered but not essential

14) Product knowledge in Napoleon Perdis, Decleor Paris, EA Pro, L'occitane , Priori, and VaniT minerals a bonus but not essential.

We have various bonus systems and incentive programs in place to reward those who go above and beyond and continually strive to achieve the growing of our client base and sales.

please note: position is for Australian residents only and English must be your first language or a fluently spoken language.

This position is negotiable and depending on your needs and availability can offer Part-Time 15-30 hours per week with a potential to lead to full time in future if desired.

*Full time will be considered for someone with proven retail sales, demonstrated a building of clientele after 1.5 + years experience in our salon, well rounded skills (including but not limited to makeup massage, peels lash extensions, spray tans and xxx waxing)

Applicants MUST be passionate about beauty, willing to attend training outside of work hours, reliable and flexible with a good work ethic and a desire to continually learn and grow.
