Our client is a growing demolition company based in Sydney who specialises in commercial strip outs and detailed demolitions. Due to a recent phase of rapid growth, our client is looking for a leading hand to lead their on-site demolition team. They are looking for experienced candidates that can contribute to their high standard of work and continue to build their companies' reputation for excellent, effective and timely demolition services.
The OpportunityOur client is seeking a Leading Hand to join their company to work across sites in Sydney, NSW.
The primary purpose of this position is to supervise 5-10 labourers and coordinate the different demolition sites in a methodical manner. The work is mainly interior strip outs and detailed demolition including catch decks and structural demolition and you must be willing to be hands-on to set the pace on site.
To be successful in this role you will have must have:
- 2+ years experience in a similar role in the building/construction industry
- Professional references from previous employers
- A current white card, drivers license and a reliable vehicle
- A high level of physical fitness
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to read and understand plans
- Strong communication skills to liaise with a variety of clients
- Flexibility to be available for overtime and occasional night shifts as required
