Due to Downer Rail’s continued growth and maintenance contract wins in Victoria, we have some very exciting career development opportunities at present.
We are currently seeking a Panel Beater to join our East Preston Maintenance Facility to be responsible for painting, filler and fibber glassing of over 400 different class trams for our Yarra Trams Additional Works project, which is a tram refurbishment program that will revitalise more than 85% of the Yarra Trams fleet over the next five years.
This role requires knowledge and skills in auto painting within a heavy fabrication industry environment. Key responsibilities will include application of spray materials; and knowledge in sanding, filling and chiselling vehicle bodies.
ABOUT YOU
- Trade qualifications.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience gained within the rail, automotive or heavy fabrication industries.
- Highly effective communication style teamed with strong inter-personal skills.
- Hands on with the ability to work unsupervised and within a team environment.
- Demonstrated leadership that strives towards the commitment to Zero Harm.
