About the Role:
Our client is a high-profile, government agency looking for security professionals who are committed to ensuring the security and safety of the staff and visitors of their site. The position is located at our Client’s premises on St Kilda Road and is responsible for deterring any potential security breaches. The successful incumbent must be available to work a rotating roster.
Key Responsibilities:
- X-Ray check point screening of people and baggage
- Escorting people between different levels of the Client’s premises
- Ensuring the safety of staff, clients and visitors
- Provide excellent customer service
- Communicate calmly and clearly with key stakeholders
Essential Requirements:
- Current Victorian Security License
- Certificate III in Security
- Valid First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
- Australian Citizen
- X-Ray screening machine accredited preferred
- Completion of Year 10
- Minimum 12 months security industry experience
- Training in the carry and use of Batons and Hand cuffs (and willing to use)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Essential Security Check criteria:
- Be willing to consent to a High Security Clearance and provide the following information:
- Proof of residential address for the last 3 years
- Employment history for the last 7 years
- Residential address for the last 3 years for spouse / defacto / partner if applicable
- Residential address for the last 3 years for parents
- Information on citizenship of parents (If naturalised, date required)
- Date parents first arrived in Australia
- Details of any overseas travel within the last 7 years
- Have a clean criminal record
- Consent to a credit reference check
- Provide a Vic Roads – driving record, demerit point certificate
