Riverina (Australia) Pty Ltd is a leading stockfeed manufacturer with seven Feedsafe® accredited mills located in Queensland and Northern NSW producing both liquid and dry feeds to all species. We are currently seeking an experienced, self motivated Maintenance Fitter for our Warwick facility. The position is responsible for ensuring production equipment is maintained to a high standard.
The responsibilities of the role are:
- Maintain the sites mechanised production equipment to ensure production rates remain at the optimum level.
- Maintain associated plant, equipment and fixed property.
- Oversee a preventative maintenance program to ensure there are minimal unplanned stoppages and breakdowns.
- Perform breakdown maintenance and service equipment after hours as required.
- Maintain accurate records pertaining to all maintenance programmes.
- Participate in approved training modules associated with production line maintenance.
- Adherence to WHS compliance.
- Liaise with Production staff.
The skills and attributes required to perform successfully in the role are:
- Trade qualified maintenance fitter or boilermaker, ideally with experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment which encompasses continuous processing.
- Component in fault finding and repairing of production equipment.
- Good understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and PLC based automated equipment.
- Ability to fabricate to mechanical drawings and weld to a high standard.
- Licenced to operate a forklift.
- Confined space and working at heights qualifications are desirable.
- Ability to multi-task and make sound decisions with minimal notice.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Able to work both autonomously and within a team environment.
The role is critical to our manufacturing process and will report to the Production Manager.
