The Company
Galaxy Resources Limited is an ASX listed lithium-focused resources company, with assets spanning Australia, Canada and Argentina. The Company owns the Mt Cattlin Spodumene Mine near Ravensthorpe in Western Australia.
The Mt Cattlin mine is an open pit mine providing ore feed to the recently expanded and refurbished 1.6 million ton per annum capacity processing plant.
The role
The company has position for a Refrigeration Air-Conditioning Technician to join the established team at the Mt Cattlin operations. Mt Cattlin provides a very pleasant work location near the south coast of WA with the nearby towns of Ravensthorpe and Hopetoun that offer an inviting combination of rural and coastal lifestyle. Relocation assistance will be offered with this position.
Your responsibilities will be to conduct service and preventative maintenance, repairs and installation work on a range of HVAC equipment. Responsible for Trade qualified level work in installing, repairing, maintaining, and testing of plant and equipment. The position works a rostered 10-hour shift on a 9/5 roster. Main responsibilities include:
- Carries out preventive maintenance of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment and systems. Repair faulty equipment and plant.
- Carries out routine checks and logs of the status of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment.
- Requisitions for materials required for the smooth operation plant and equipment
- Assists in verification of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning spares purchased/supplied.
- Trouble-shoot Air Conditioning equipment malfunctions, diagnose problems and perform maintenance on Refrigeration & Air Conditioning equipment.
- Manage the safety of the Air Conditioning Plant rooms and workshops
- Make recommendations to replace equipment if expected cost to repair exceeds possible replacement cost.
- Make minor installation decisions
- Perform regular cleaning of the equipment.
- Maintain job worksheets detailing nature of assignment, parts utilized, time expended and type of work performed.
- Collect data for reports.
Desirable Tickets:
- Australian recognised trade certificate in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning
- A current ARC licence
- Restricted WA electrical licence
- Western Australian ‘C’ Class manual driver’s licence
- Experience in a CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System)
- High Risk Work Licence – WP (Work Platform)
