Our company is a Brisbane based electrical business specialising in industrial electrical maintenance/installation and instrumentation control. We offer tailored services to industrial and manufacturing facilities across the Brisbane, Gold Coast and Ipswich regions, specialising largely in the food and beverage industry.

Based from their Darra office, as the team continues to grow, there is a new opportunity for a highly committed Control System Programmer to become an integral part of the friendly team.

Control System Programmer 

Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining company and client software and programs
• Breakdown service, fault diagnoses, repairs, testing and commissioning for commercial and industrial clients
• Programming in ladder logic from function descriptions
• Programming of HMI and Scada 
• Programming of Allen Bradley SLC, CLX, Factory talk SE & ME essential
• Ensure high quality workmanship while maintaining company standards, maintenance service reports, relevant safety and compliance documentation
• Provide technical support to customers
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels

This is a permanent, full-time position.

To be considered you will hold excellent presentation and communications skills, as you will be representing the company to clients, suppliers and stakeholders across the industry.

You will also hold the following skills, attributes and qualifications:

• Current Qld Electrical Fitter / Mechanic licence (Advantageous, not essential) or
• Tertiary qualifications in electrical or software engineering
• Experience with programming, fault finding and modifying Allen Bradley PLC's; network communications
• Previous experience maintaining and troubleshooting equipment in a production/ manufacturing environment
• Current drivers licence
• High level of problem solving skills and abilities
• CAD experience (Advantageous, not essential)

The ideal person will be self motivated, innovative, excellent communicator and willing to learn.

You will be highly reliable and flexible in order to adapt to the changing needs of the company and its clients.
