Based in Brendale on the North side of Brisbane, Our Client is subsidiary of a leading supplier of value-added, technology-based products and services for freight rail, passenger transit and select industrial markets worldwide. 2XM Recruit are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter / Service Technician to join their growing Brisbane team.
You will be responsible for performing overhauls, repairs and modifications to our customers mechanical, pneumatic and electro-pneumatic air brake equipment along with other related equipment.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade;
- Extensive experience completing overhaul, repairs and testing to mechanical and air brake equipment installed on Passenger, Locomotive and Freight rollingstock;
- Current QLD driver’s licence;
- Forklift license;
- First Aid, CPR and AED qualifications (desirable);
- Current SARC and RIW qualifications (desirable);
- Overhead crane and rigging qualifications (desirable);
- Commitment to HSE, Quality and Continuous Improvement practices; and
- Some travel may be required to internal and customer sites.
