Successful Engineering Company based in the south East suburbs, specialising in the design and manufacture of Automation equipment has been in business for over 50 years and now has a vacancy for a fitter / Machine Builder.
This is a new position that will involve various tasks. It is necessary to be flexible with skills and be willing to move around the section to keep up with demand. Everyone within the workshop works as a team and most people are multi-skilled.
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) being responsible for building and assembling special purpose machines. You will be doing general fitting, some minor welding, and of course using variety of hand tools. ideally you will have a strong back ground machine Building.

TO APPLY YOU SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:
- Trade qualifications.
- Machine build experience.
- Fitting background.
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
