About the Role:

Our Property Operations Department is responsible for the coordination and delivery of Repairs and Maintenance and Minor Capital Works to SCC's owned and leased property portfolio, across our Residential Aged Care and Independent Retirement Living programs, throughout NSW and ACT.

Based at our Merrylands office in Sydney, the Regional Property Services Manager will actively support all works undertaken by the Property Operations Department and work in conjunction with the Property Development team - including Preventative Maintenance, Minor Works, CAPEX and Contractor Management.

The successful applicant will also manage a team of Regional Maintenance Supervisors, to ensure adherence to local preventative maintenance schedules and to ensure regulatory compliance to all essential services.

You will be required to meet following criteria:

  • Experience with remote multi-site Asset Management.
  • Thorough understanding of Building Services (a must)
  • Good understanding of building regulations and compliance (working knowledge of BCA and Australian Standards)
  • Experience in minor works and refurbishment planning & management
  • Skills and experience in the planning and implementation of Essential Services and Preventative Maintenance Activities
  • Manage and support Maintenance Supervisors, including training, coaching and performance management as required
  • Assist in the development of the annual capital budgets for the Property Operations function
  • Assist in the review of and adherence to assets being maintained in a satisfactory state of repairs, ensuring approval is obtained for non-budgeted expenditure
  • Develop and implement cost-effective measures and saving strategies, providing written proposals detailing the benefits to the organisation
  • Conduct audits and inspections of works
  • Manage a maintenance contracts database and conduct quarterly performance reviews of all contractors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills including demonstrated experience interacting with wide range of people
  • 4-5 year experience in a similar role
  • Experience & understanding of Computerised Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) or Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) (Highly Desirable)
  • Ability to travel to multiple sites within NSW and ACT.
