A dynamic Industrial Electrical Engineering and Contracting Company is seeking the services of a Supervisor / Coordinator with predominately-industrial electrical experience, to work in the ACT and surrounding areas. The position will require you to be responsible for the overall organisation of the Industrial Electricians who perform the day-to-day maintenance, repairs and breakdowns for our valued customers. As an experienced industrial electrician yourself, it will be your duty to lead, motivate, monitor, coach and oversee all aspects of work undertaken on site. The work will predominately take place in the mining and quarrying environment. In addition, quoting/estimating major projects will be required along with Business Development and attend breakdowns/call-outs where required.
The successful applicant must be able to meet the following requirements:-
- At least 5 years post apprenticeship trade experience essential.
- Demonstrate previous experience in Supervisory/Leading Hand roles.
- Complete estimates and quotes for minor and major electrical projects.
- Conduct Business Development/Sales with current and potential clients.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of current electrical standards.
- Applicant must also have a current Electrical Licence.
- Sound knowledge of basic computing programs including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Previous knowledge of SimPRO Software an advantage.
- Ability to read and understand/modify electrical schematic drawings.
- PLC experience is an advantage
- Knowledge of basic mechanical principles.
- Excellent workmanship and attention to detail to meet the standards of our clients and the company.
- Be productive to complete tasks within set time frames.
- Industrial fault finding expertise.
- Available to work weekends and overtime.
- Occasionally travel to other areas for work
To be considered for the position the applicant will also hold:-
- Electrical Licence
- Construction industry white card.
- Manual drivers licence.
- A full set of hand tools.
Additional consideration for the position will be given to applicants who also hold:-
- First Aid / CPR / LVR
- Confined Space entry and work ticket
- Working at Heights training
The position includes a vehicle and phone for work/personal use (Conditions apply) and uniforms are supplied. Pay rates will be negotiated with the successful applicant based on skills and previous experience. It is preferable that the successful applicant reside in the ACT region.
A probation period will be served upon commencement.
