A dynamic Industrial Electrical Engineering and Contracting company seeking the services of industrial electricians with predominately industrial experience, to work in Canberra and surrounding areas. The position will comprise of installation and maintenance works across a variety of sites, predominately mining and quarrying. Also, on occasions, quoting/estimating minor projects will be required along with attending breakdowns and call-outs.
The successful applicant must be able to meet the following requirements:-
- At least 5 year post apprenticeship trade experience.
- Industrial experience essential.
- PLC experience is an advantage
- Ability to read and understand/modify electrical schematic drawings.
- Knowledge of current electrical standards.
- Knowledge of basic mechanical principles.
- Excellent workmanship and attention to detail to meet the standards of our clients and the company.
- Be able to work unsupervised and also part of the team.
- Be productive to complete tasks within set time frames.
- Industrial fault finding experience.
- Available to work overtime.
- Occasionally travel to other areas for work
- Experience in Supervisory/Leading Hand positions desirable.
- Experience in quoting and estimating projects desirable.
- Experience in basic electrical design desirable.
- Competent in Microsoft Office
To be considered for the position the applicant will also hold:-
- Electrical Licence
- Construction industry white card.
- Asbestos Awareness training.
- Manual drivers licence.
- A full set of hand tools.
Additional consideration for the position will be given to applicants who also hold:-
- High Risk Licence for WP
- Confined Space entry and work ticket
- Working at Heights training
- First Aid & LVR
The position includes a vehicle and phone for work use only and uniforms are supplied. Pay rates will be negotiated with the successful applicant based on skills and previous trade experience. It is preferable that the successful applicant reside in the Canberra area.
A probation period will be served upon commencement.
