About the Role
Reporting to the Area Supervisor within our Field Services team, your primary purpose will be to undertake splicing activities as required to meet the client's standards on all jointing / fibre work to the distribution and local network. Day to day duties will include but not be limited to;
- Testing optical circuits and dark fibre testing
- Completing work site inductions/risk assessments, Quality labels, and pride sticker's on new joints,
- Completing quality As-builts
- Cutovers (weekend work can be required).
About You
As the ideal candidate you have a good understanding with regard to the formulation and implementation of Safe Work Method Statements and associated risk assessments along with High-level communication skills, initiative to work in an unsupervised environment, combined with efficient and effective time-management skills.
Technically you must have:
- Current General Industry OH&S Induction card
- Current, valid driver's licence
- Current Level Two first Aid and CPR
- General Knowledge of the Telstra network and some knowledge of Splicing.
