Our client is a world leader in their chosen fields. Their brand and products are well known within the Marine and Mobile Plant industries. We are looking for a Mechanical (or Diesel) Fitter that can service their Queensland based clients (with some travel) and assist the sales team to increase their footprint in their Marine business primarily.
The role;
Field support including, providing technical assistance, fault diagnosis, minor repair work (in equipment) and servicing of equipment in Marine Industry.

• Provide first class customer service and support.
• Respond to priorities as instructed whilst managing existing workload.
• Carry out onsite repairs, fault diagnosis. installations, commissioning and provide technical assistance to the High end Please Craft Marine industry..
• Respond to after hour enquires as required (paid overtime).
• Provide detailed service reports on all work carried out.
• Assist in supporting the Sales engineers with customer technical inquiries
• Client's are mainly in the SE Queensland area (Gold Coast, Brisbane to Sunshine Coast.

Who you are;

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical or Diesel Fitter, preferred, 5 years post trade experience in a similar field ideally dealing with Marine vessels. 
• Marine Craft Field Service experience
• Must have the ability to work unsupervised and be autonomous
• Exhibit excellent people skills compounded by sound diagnostic ability.
• Ability to communicate at all levels
• DC electrical knowledge and experience is desirable.
• Basic to average computer skills.
• Attention to detail is a must.
• Full drivers licence.
• Some travel throughout Queensland, other states and NZ is likely. There maybe up to five nights away from home per month.
