Your new company
We are currently working with a Agricultural Dept of the Federal Government who are currently seeking a experienced qualified gardener to look after the greenhouses within the facility based in the Northern suburbs.
Your new role
This multi-faceted job will see you responsible for maintaining a variety greenhouses throughout this facility using commercial gardening and grounds equipment. This role will see you providing weekend cover for the facility which will involve the candidate working alone and working autonomously. The Successful candidates must have a current police check, must be a Qualified Gardener and have proven experience within horticulture and gardening. Candidates are required to have a Cert III in Horticulture as well as good plant identification knowledge. Experience in a similar role in a Plant Nursery would also be highly regarded.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will need:
- Experience working as a Qualified Gardener (Plant nursery experience would be a preferred)
- A Certification III in Horticulture
- Experience working in a greenhouse environment
- Must be available to work Friday-Monday (Penalty rates apply)
- Living in the Northern suburbs
- Due to this being a position in a Federal Gov department people under Visa restrictions applications will not be processed.
What you'll get in return
This role will allow the right candidate the opportunity the opportunity to work autonomously and unsupervised providing crucial weekend support to a Federal Government Department overseeing the maintenance and care to the facilities greenhouse where all their rare and important plant life are housed. You will be working 4 days a week from Friday to Monday and this will be covered by a weekend reward rate.
